I was looking for some photo layout ideas yesterday for a new public art installation I have coming up. And, I came to a hard realization that I have been super lazy about keeping up with the many social media platforms. It’s not that I don’t like them, it’s that I don’t have TIME! I post about 10% of the actual work I do on my blog- maybe the same on Facebook. I don’t know how people find the time to keep up with the demand of updating their posts, their blogs, their tweets on a daily basis. I joked here on my blog back during the holidays about neglecting my poor family because I was so busy. I’ve had to migrate out of my home office that I thoughtfully refer to as “the hole” to try and work on my laptop in the family room or else I’d be in there all day and the baby would have to potty train herself. Even as I sit here and type, my 14 year old is staring at me from across the kitchen counter pouring cheerios and milk in a giant cup to sneak upstairs because he says “you don’t even make enough dinner for me anymore!”.
Starting today I will be more diligent about posting pertinent content. That goes for any helpful insight I can offer to my fellow colleagues whether you are a pro photographer or hobbyist. Everyday is a new learning experience in photography as the art is continually evolving. So if you have any questions, concerns, or anything at all you’d like to share I would love to hear it (unless you want to tell me I suck, then please keep that to yourself because I don’t take rejection very well) :o)
Feel free to share your questions or comments on my Facebook page that I will try to check daily Facebook.com/BaramPhotography. And while I’m trying to catch up to months of social media and bloggie disregard I’d like to make a special shout out to Dave King from Derbyshire, England…
I have not forgotten you, Dave! Eventually I will have time to send you a nice comprehensive email!
